Goldshield® has many unique features, including the capability of being applied to textiles, such as gowns, doctors coat, privacy curtains, blood cuffs, linens and towels and once applied will create a biostatic barrier to inhibit the growth of microbes through a unique killing functionality. Alternatively, it can be utilized in a spray, mopping or fogging application on hard and porous surfaces and equipment to provide the same protection.
Goldshield is being explored for application to medical devices, as a non-leaching protectant with broad spectrum capabilities. Additionally Goldshield AuProvise has developed a new hand rinse, as well as foams and gels, which will protect longer and provide greater efficacy against germs [see product listing].
Sports Hygiene
There isn’t a school or university that is not aware of the health threat posed by MRSA [Methicillin Resistant Strain of Staph. Aureus]. Our Goldshield® system is a pro-active strategic approach to mitigate the spread of this deadly disease. Our products can be applied to equipment, mats, uniforms and athletic gear, locker rooms, synthetic grass, whirlpools, towels and many other products, apparatus and surfaces found within these environments. Our personal care products can be directly applied to skin and will prevent the spread of these deadly diseases.
Hospitality
Goldshield®can be applied to carpets, drapes and furniture, all of which are often vectors of disease. Mattress pads and quilts, not always cleaned frequently, quickly become depositories of organisms picked up from carpets or other textiles. For a safe,r healthier environment for clients, workers and visitors, we highly recommend out system of Green cleaning and antimicrobial protection. Our products can also protect transportation vehicles, depots, restaurants and spas.
First Responders, Law Enforcement
Goldshield® is a proven system for use in correctional institutions, law enforcement agencies, EMS squads, police units and fire brigades. The system protects the staff, facilities, vehicles and inmates from cross contamination. Textiles
The Goldshield® antimicrobial is used in several industry sectors including textiles supplied to the Department of Defense, healthcare apparel, and athletic uniforms. Its unique characteristics provide for a cross linking or covalent bond to the fibers, including INERTS, and will not leach from the materials after application. This provides long term residual protection after multiple washings.
We can provide technical data demonstrating strong antimicrobial inhibition for up to fifty washes conducted under the AATCC 100 protocols. These washing were conducted with the Goldshield 101 nonionic detergent. Of great interest is not only the harmful organisms found in hospital settings but other bacteria which cause odor and discoloration.
