Goldshield has developed , in conjunction with its Canadian affiliate a “High-heat Vapor”: machine that will dispense dry heat vapor at 300°F+ to 360°F. This unique equipment can clean, disinfect and protect all in one operation by releasing the Goldshield antimicrobial.
It should be noted that other machines that are on the market can achieve high heat in the boiler but CANNOT dispense at the temperature levels the new Goldshield Bio-Vapor machine can. This Vapore edition is the ONLY Goldshield Certified equipment available on the market, as it has been fully examined to persistently release the Goldshield antimicrobial for hours at a time.
High-heat–vapor has been the penultimate method in sterilizing surgical equipment and many other healthcare equipment and environments. At 2500F for fifteen minutes, heat vapor will kill every living organism. But the challenge was how can one adapt this ideal principle and use it as standard criteria for cleaning and disinfecting, while not being overly labor intensive and costly? Goldshield has developed a system which will release heat vapor and its antimicrobial (a key component of the system), that can kill all microbes in less than 1.5 seconds, including spores, and will provide a prophylactic, residual protection for weeks and months.
GOLDSHIELD BIO-VAPOR KILLS ORGANISMS & C’diff SPORES IN 1.08 SECONDS!
The Goldshield heat-vapor system, identified as their “Bio-vapor System”, will kill organisms on contact, meaning “on-contact”, less than 1.5 seconds, whereas, toxic chemicals require anywhere from 3-10 minutes to kill these microbes. By using the Goldshield Bio-vapor System, which includes the Goldshield 5 antimicrobial, it can kill organisms “on-contact” and lay-down a long term residual protection on surfaces, equipment or textiles. This unique system will change the way healthcare facilities address the chronic, debilitating and costly, hospital-acquired-infections.
Here is an example of how this system kills Clostridium difficile (C’diff) spores, MRSA and VRE.
By matching the “Kill” capability of the time and temperature of 2500F for 15 minutes, to the temperature of the Goldshield system operating at 3060F the time is reduced to less than 1.5 seconds. This is shown by solving the following calculation:
